When planning a Pattaya yacht charter, the first decision is usually not the yacht size but the charter duration. YachtSiam's current Pattaya options depart from Ocean Marina, yet a four-hour trip and an eight-hour trip offer very different cruising ranges and usable time at anchor.
Most Pattaya yachts use four hours as the base package, while selected yachts begin with five hours. Six hours can make Koh Kham or Koh Larn practical, and eight hours gives more flexibility for cruising, anchoring, meals and activities. The examples below assume normal weather and sea conditions; every final route is confirmed during consultation.
Four hours: the standard Monkey Island area itinerary
A typical four-hour charter cruises from Ocean Marina to the Monkey Island area. Allow roughly one hour each way and about two hours at anchor. Fishing is often arranged while the yacht is travelling rather than as a separate stop.
Banana boats and jet skis may be available around the area for an extra charge. Availability depends on local operators and sea conditions. Visibility is inconsistent, so this is generally not the best route when snorkeling is the main priority.
Five hours: selected yachts and a possible Koh Kham route
Some yachts operate a five-hour base package. With a suitable yacht and good sea conditions, Koh Kham may be discussed. It is not automatically included: cruising speed, departure time and the required time at anchor must be checked before confirmation.
Six hours: consider Koh Kham or Koh Larn
A six-hour charter makes Koh Kham or Koh Larn more realistic while retaining useful time at anchor. It can combine cruising, fishing and relaxation without compressing every activity. Guests who care about snorkeling will usually find Koh Kham more suitable than the Monkey Island area, although it requires additional travel.
Eight hours: a more relaxed full-day charter
An eight-hour trip suits families, groups of friends and corporate events that need time for a longer route, meals, fishing and water activities. Koh Kham, Koh Larn or another agreed route can be planned with fewer time pressures. Stops can still change because of weather, tides and marine safety.
Comfortable capacity matters more than the legal maximum
The published maximum is a safety or operating limit, not a promise of premium comfort. In practice, around 50 to 60 percent of the maximum often feels better. Malbec, for example, is listed for up to 18 guests, but groups above about 10 may find seating and movement less comfortable. Party groups should prioritize open deck space, while families may value shade and indoor seating.
Slides, floating pools and jacuzzis also vary by yacht. Confirm that the facility shown in photographs is available on your date and whether setup time affects the charter schedule.
Overnight and long-term charter require a different yacht
Most Pattaya catamarans are designed for day tours and cannot provide overnight accommodation. A genuine overnight yacht needs a watermaker, usable cabins, showers and toilets, stable power and air-conditioning, refrigeration and cooking facilities, plus an appropriate crew plan.

A foreign group of around six guests has previously used it for a long-term charter. These trips require a separate quotation for fuel, provisions, crew, berthing and itinerary planning.

- 5 hours: yachts with a five-hour base package and possible Koh Kham consultation
